The acquisition of this French platform is part of Barentz’s growth strategy to become the world’s leading distributor of life sciences.
The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of specified legal closing conditions, including receipt of European merger control clearances.
The acquisition strengthens Barentz’s presence in France and immediately complements Barentz’s strong European network, while Unipex provides a gateway to strengthen Barentz’s presence in Southern Europe and is a stepping stone for Barentz in North Africa. The acquisition further expands Barentz’s European network of logistics centers and application laboratories.
The current management team will remain in charge and further growth in France is expected.
