In a statement, Tony Lord, President of Flint Group CPW, said, “We recognize that the primary responsibility to our partners is to maintain the supply of high quality consumables that are fundamental to the printing process. -an inflation of costs and a scarcity of raw materials unforeseen until then. If we want to maintain supply, we have no choice but to pass on these additional costs to our customers.”
“While it is hoped that the current cost hyperinflation will subside, the truth is that no one can predict with any reasonable accuracy what the future holds for all our input costs of raw materials, energy, freight and labor costs,” added Lord. “We therefore believe that the fairest and fairest way to manage this difficult environment is to ensure full transparency of the movements of raw material, energy, freight and labor costs by providing customers an independently validated surcharge mechanism to confirm these cost movements (both upwards and downwards) which will then be reflected in our surcharge. We are currently in one-on-one discussions with our customers regarding the implementation on all of our markets.
