MPS acquires US publishing solutions company Electronic Publishing Services



Bombay: MPS North America LLC, the US subsidiary of Bangalore-based publishing solutions provider MPS SA, acquired Electronic Publishing Services Inc. (EPS), a New York-based company focused on content creation, artistry, design and production. The deal will allow MPS to strengthen its presence in North America, the company said on Tuesday in an exchange brief.

EPS primarily caters to the higher education and professional publishing markets. Commenting on the evolution, Rahul arora, Marketing Director of MPS Ltd, said: “The acquisition of EPS further strengthens our presence in North America and enriches our portfolio in the educational publishing market.

MPS North America is a wholly owned subsidiary of MPS and provides editing, design, research and production services to the educational publishing market. It also offers solutions for online and print products. MPS was formed by the spin-off of MPS Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Macmillan. Financial details of the transactions were not disclosed.

Eilleen Mitchell, president of EPS, will retain her current post.
