President Wontumi serves Afia Schwarzenegger and A Plus via the Daily Graphic publication

This follows reports that the two social media commentators escaped the court service.

NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman is suing Afia, A Plus United Television Ghana, Dr Fadda Dickson Narh, Nana Ama McBrown and Emmanuel Barnes (Mr Logic) for contempt after they discussed him on United Showbiz.

The plaintiff’s lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, inter alia stated that “…the 4th Defendant received the platform of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Defendants with the support of the 5th and 6th Defendants, as well as other panel members to discuss the alleged sexual relationship of the 4th Defendant with the Petitioner, which is a subject for decision of the Court and it is subjudicial.”

Although the ex parte motion was filed on July 14, 2022, the 4th and 5th defendants, Afia Schwarzenegger and A Plus respectively, were not served in person, hence the decision to be served via the daily newspapers.

Substituted Service Order signed by (sgd) Sebastian A. Agbo, Registrar at the High Court and served on page 30 of the July 20, 2022 edition of the Daily Graphic newspaper reads:
