Saint-Émilion Vignobles Bardet pillar names EMW its Chinese distributor


Vignobles Bardet de Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, are expanding their distribution partnership in mainland China.

The significant extension of the winery’s commercial card follows an existing 6-year partnership with EMW in the cities of Hong Kong and Macau.

The 300-year-old Vignobles Bardet family estate currently owns 50 hectares of AOC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and is certified “High Environmental Value” Level 3, awarded to winegrowers who comply with strict biodiversity regulations. , phytosanitary strategy, water and fertilization management, from viticulture to bottling.

Les Vignobles Bardet has a strict and qualitative vinification from aging, sorting and maceration to its aging in oak barrels; they believe in agroecology to cultivate vines and produce wines while respecting the environment.

The history of Vignobles Bardet begins on the banks of the Dordogne in 1704. Mr. Seigneriau, river boatman, starts his activity by transporting barrels of wine to the port of Saint-Brice de Vignonet, where the Seigneriau family acquires vines .

In the 1920s, Mr. Seigneriau’s granddaughter, Mathilde Roy, married Henri-Gabriel Bardet, founder of Château du Val d’Or, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. And in 2013 and after a succession of 100 years, Paul-Arthur Bardet and Thibault Bardet acquired the Château du Paradis. In May 2021, Paul-Arthur Bardet was named “The 50 best young winegrowers in the world” by Food Drink magazine.

Philippe Bardet is also the founding president of the first Association of SMEs (System of Environmental Management of Bordeaux Wine, which means “System of Environmental Management of Bordeaux Wine”). This association is ISO 14001 certified.
