TikTok authorized as an official music distributor with the new SoundOn platform
The online music platform, ICT Tac, has taken the world by storm since its introduction to the market in September 2017. In partnership with Musical.ly, this Chinese company has rapidly gained popularity around the world, crossing the mark of 2 billion mobile downloads worldwide . Now, TikTok can be called a music distributor as they have launched their own distribution platform.

Owned by Chinese company ByteDance Ltd, Tiktok gives the modern artist the ability to upload their music directly to both Tiktok and the new music service. Resource. A new ecosystem will be envisioned where unsigned artists will have the opportunity to share their music with the world, through sound activated. This platform aims for an accessible solution allowing artists to connect with their fans and labels with new talents. The hassle of finding new musical talent as an A&R will hopefully be clarified. Once signed up as an artist, you will be able to see your audience grow and your career will be guided by the SoundOn artist team.

The artist will get 100% royalty for life for TikTok and Resso, but for platforms outside ByteDance, you will receive 100% royalties the 1st year and 90% after that.
